SPECIAL EVENTS

Fundraising is a vital part of any Charitable Organization and throughout the year, the Board of Directors, Members, Volunteers and Staff will organize, plan and participate in walkathons, tournaments, craft sales, auctions and bazaars.

Our annual Christmas Craft Sale & Show is coming in November at the Yonge Eglinton Centre. Great Ideas for Holiday Gift Giving! All Handmade by Second Mile Seniors. An all branch fundraising event featuring a wide variety of Christmas crafts, Chinese pottery & brush painting, knitted winter items, and much much more . . .

In June, join the Staff, Second Mile Members and Volunteers along with 1,800 participants from over 50 agencies, in the TORONTO CHALLENGE and raise money for THE SECOND MILE.

There are three levels of participation - 1K walk, 5K walk and a 5K run. You can collect pledges from family and friends and walk, or ask family or friends to walk or run and collect pledges on their behalf or pledge someone who is walking or running.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 and with your help we know we can succeed! Pledge sheets will be available at the end of March. Watch for updates.
