Introducing new beginner Irish dance classes in Cambridge on Thursday evenings starting fall 2003. Irish Dance is a great way to learn coordination, gain confidence and have a lot of fun. Come join dance instructor Samantha Paul as she teaches you Irish jigs and reels.
 

Classes being offered:

 

* Ages 6-9

* 10 & up

* Adult.

SAMANTHA'S BIO

Samantha has been teaching Irish, jazz, tap, and acro for six years.  She has also taught at various community centers and studios in the Kitchener-Waterloo area.

During the 2001-2002 dance season Samantha taught the entire competitive jazz program at Alpha Dance in Brantford (formerly Wendy Waltons). She has taught many workshops for primary school, high school and university students.

As a dancer, Samantha has competed across North America. She has received many group and solo awards, most notably, placing in the overall top five solos at the Rising Star national finals. Samantha was part of the First Generation Dancers, an Irish dance troupe that choreographed and performed at festivals across Ontario, including among others Harbour Front in Toronto, Celtic Roots in Goderich, and Earthsong in Hamilton. A highlight for Samantha was performing Irish Dance for the Millennium Orchestra and Choir at the Centre In The Square. She has also performed on Breakfast Television, Rogers Cable, and CKCO News at Noon several times. Her students have performed at the Celtic Roots Festival, Cambridge's Multicultural Festival and the Ayr-Paris Band's St. Patrick day dinner. 

Samantha was a graduate of the Eastwood Collegiate' Arts Program. She is currently in her last semester studies at the University of Waterloo. She is kept very busy with school, teaching, and cheerleading. Samantha hopes to  eventually take her Masters Degree in Dance and teach at the college/university level.
