The
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Chapter of the
IEEE-MTT
Society was formed in 1972,
jointlyby Hugh Reekie of Bell-Northern Research and Willem Steenart
of the University of Ottawa. The main purpose of the Chapter is to
povide specialist lectures, presentations and visits that are of
interest tothe microwave engineer. For a number of years the Chapter
was led by Jim Wight of Carleton University. In the mid 80s, the
Chapter structure was changed to become a joint chapter with the IEEE
Antennas and Propagation Society.
