The Carruthers Clan is a Sept to the Bruce Clan of Scotland, our tartan is the same as the Bruce. We were also included in the "Border Reivers" a band of thieves, etc., that raided the border between Scotland and England. No doubt the Carruthers Clan was at the Battle of Bannockburn when King Robert Bruce defeated the English.
Our particular branch of the family appears to have started up roots in Scotland, migrated to Canada and settled in the Dundee Quebec, Winchester Ontario, Morewood ontario locations in the mid 1800's. Information I have been working on includes the following family names: Shearer, Watt, Steven, Coulthart, Carruthers, Wyatt, Brimacombe, Crowe

I am product specialist for a large company located in Mississauga Ontario. I use the web frequently for business, communicating with Family members and for Genealogy research on my favorite pastime, Family Trees. Carruthers family trees to be specific. If you have info on the Carruthers name I would be most interested in hearing from you. Other family names I am interested in are:
Shearer, Steven, Watt, Coulthart, Crowe, Brimacombe, Wyatt, Coulthart.
Hope to hear from you soon!
PS. My father was a tail gunner in WWII in Lancaster and Halifax bombers with the RCAF 432 Squadron. If you have info on this squadron please drop me a note. For those of you who may have been in the 432 with my Dad, he passed away August 17, 1999 in a retirement home in Virden Manitoba.
Enjoy browsing, I have tried to compile areas of interest to the Carruthers family. If you find a connection, I'd love to hear from you!
