A Letter from Jesus

Dear Friend;

How are you?  I just had to send you this letter to tell you how much I love and care for you.  I saw you yesterday as you were talking to your friends.  I waited all day, hoping that you would talk to Me also.  As evening drew near, I gave you a sunset, a cool breeze to close your day, ... and I waited.  But you never came.  Oh, Yes, it hurt Me, but I shall love you.

I saw you fall asleep last night and I longed to touch your brow, so I spilled moonlight upon your face and pillow.  Again I waited, wanting to rush down so we could talk.  But you never called.

You awakened late this morning and rushed for the day ... no time for me again.  My tears were in the rain.  Today you look so sad and alone.  My friends let Me down and hurt Me many times, so I understand how you feel.  I know how hard life is on earth -- I really know because I was there.  Remember?

And I want to help you.  Just call Me!  Ask Me!  Talk to Me!  I will hear.  My ear is always open to a friend.  And you are my friend.  I have gifts to give you: peace on a day of care and turmoil, guidance on a day of confusion, and hard decisions, strength on a day of weakness and helplessness -- just to name a few.

I love you and want to help.  I try to tell you this in the quiet green pasture of my Scriptures.  I whisper it in the quiet of your heart.  I breathe it into your soul.  I shout it from a rugged, empty wooden cross!  Just call Me!  Ask Me!  Talk to Me!  It's a privilege you have as My friend.  I wait.

Your Friend,

Jesus
