I just put the Escort GT PRM intake on my 1994 MX3 RS. Whoooo
boy!!! Talk about an improvement. Way better than
the HKS I had. It makes an awesome growl too under full throttle.
Way more torque. Right now I have the aluminum down
pipe in the fender well but the filter itself may fit down there
so I am going to try that out and see if it yields any more hp.
Well
worth the $189 (US).

I have a 1994 DOHC. It came with an extra adapter I didn't need.
Install was a breeze, 1/2 hour max (took me that long
because it didn't come with instructions). Take off the airbox
(about 4 bolts). Remove the resonator from the fender
well. Position the aluminum adapter in the fender well. I had to
use some plastic fasteners as a make shift means of keeping the
filter from rattling around. I am going to custom make a metal
fastener soon.

Here is the picture of the PRM filter on my 1994 MX3 RS 1.6L
DOHC. I am going to relocate the battery to the trunk so I
can route a custom 3 inch aluminum intake closer to the edge of
the engine bay to aviod some heat. The plastic fasteners will
give way to a more permanent means of securing the filter when I
get back from vacation. This thing is great. Get one!
