What to do in between Races.

The Infield of a race track is the land of corporate booths, and concession stands. Here is the first of two Infield oriented pictures. The first are of non-concession stand booths and items.

The infield over a race weekend grows. From the practice morning where one can sleep on the concrete without having to worry about being stepped to the Race day when the area is so filled with people walking around is slow at best.

In between the two inexpensive grandstands are a couple concessions. There is an ice cream vendor, and a brewery stand. Also there is a mobile First Aid post to aid in any injuries that any spectator may have during the course of the race weekend.

Advertising is something that racing has everywhere. Pictured here is the Bridge that allows spectators to get into the infield and access to most of the concession stands and grandstands.

Marketing cars at a car race seems to make sense, so I put in a car booth. Here a car company is promoting their cars for sale. Unfortunately neither of the 2 cars can accelerate from 0 to 60 in 4 seconds or less.

For people that don't want to be away from their friends and family the Telephone company is at the race promoting their cellular and other phone features. But probably the best deal for most people is that local calls are free to help drum up business during the race.

Being one of the major sponsors, OCTAN has a booth with some sports cars on display and company representatives to help promote their oil and fuel products.

But OCTAN is not the only Oil company at the race. Here Shell has a booth too with similar sports cars, and also a tow truck on display to attract attention to people about their services they provide to both the racing industry and customers like us.

The Police like to have a booth at major events like these to help in their public education and awareness. As well, they want to show that for some of these people the Police are not always trying to get one for speeding. :)
