The Harbour
The Harbour is a multi-use area, where pleasure boats, and cargo ships are close together on a regular
basis.
Looking from the pleasure side towards the pier, the range of ships in the Harbour cannot be debated.
Big and Small mix with the old and new. Any- and everything can be seen at the Harbour.
Here the marina is one of the few pleasure-oriented marinas. During weekends this marina is full of
pleasure ships and people enjoying the harbour.
Here one of the racing boats are in dry docks to get some major work done to it.
The Coast Guard have a very visible presence on the Harbour including two ships and a Helicopter. As
well, the coast guard assists with the police in public education of the rules of watercraft.
Here at the Pier one of the many cargo ships are preparing to leave for their journey.
The Police too have a Pier in the Harbour. Here one of the Police ships are being looked over to
make sure the ships are in top condition and any problems are solved before they begin.
One of the things the Police like to pride themselves in having are clean ships. Cleaning the hull
may seem pointless but the Police seem to be in a competition with the Coast Guard as to who has maintains
the cleanest fleet.
